Senior AP Accountant
We are looking for a Senior Accounts Payable Accountant with strong overall understanding of accounting and experience in accounts payables, to join our team!
On this role, as a part of our financial team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our accounts payable processes while contributing to the overall success of our finance operations!
Essential functions
- Manage accounts payable tasks for US companies (Enter and upload invoices into the accounts payable system, review and verify vendor invoices, communicating with external vendors as needed, analyze expenses and process expense reports and similar tasks)
- Manage journal entries in the ERP system, allocate expenses for reporting and assist with credit card transactions
- Handle vendor Masterfile and account reconciliations
- Ensure SOX compliance in purchase-to-pay cycle
- Supervise junior AP accountants as needed
- Contribute to monthly closing and reporting
- Prepare management reports and support cash balance analysis
- Participate in process improvements and ad hoc projects
- Prepare ad hoc analytical reports
- Cooperate with other departments for financial information exchange
- Assist with audits by providing documentation and responses
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
- 3+ years of professional experience
- Fluent in English and proficient in MS Office
- Strong grasp of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles (Local standards/IFRS/US GAAP)
- Experience with e-banking systems
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Flexible working hours due to time zone differences
- Ability to work overtime during critical reporting periods or special projects (month/quarter/year end reporting or similar)
Would be a plus
- Experience with NetSuite ERP
- Public Audit experience
